...herb crusted steak...


We've been watching a lot of Jamie Oliver these days.  So when I went to make Benjamin a steak tonight and saw that we had rosemary and parsley, I quickly chopped it up and then threw in that pile some salt, drizzled on olive oil, and placed the steak on top, then flipped it.  I got our cast iron pan nice and hot, put a little olive oil in there, then seared it on one side.  I then flipped it and threw some onions in the pan, a little butter all around, and some salt.   The steak pan was then placed in a 375 oven for 10-15 minutes, until your liking.  Benjamin threw the caramelized onions on top, and I haven't heard him that excited about anything I've made in quite some time.  Red meat- check.
