...french toast...

We're eggs, toast, and bacon people.  And occasionally, pancake people.  The other day we decided to mix eggs with toast (not our idea) and make french toast.  It's one of those staples maybe we don't turn to all the time.  With cooler weather upon us, it was a welcomed warm breakfast.  The key to a good french toast seems to be the right amount of spice, egg mixture, and letting that bread soak it all up for longer than you might think.   Next time instead of just adding cinnamon and nutmeg I might add pumpkin pie spice.  After all, all things pumpkin all the time, right?!
