thanks to a couple bbq's today i had reason to bake. i took stock of what i had in my house and ended up making this recipe from Martha's New Classics cookbook. many have asked for the
recipe- and here it is- posted. i tweaked the recipe a bit- using almond butter over peanut, and chopping up some bittersweet baking chocolate over semi-sweet chips. i also didn't have salted peanuts so i threw in some slivered almonds and raisins. the results were praised so even though i don't think i'll be quick to make them again- maybe you should. too many other recipes out there...
