on the cusp of change

I love this time of the year.  As much as I longed for the trees to regain their leaves just a few short months ago I'm ready for those leaves to change and fall off.  I'm hoping for some snow this winter and for sweet times cuddling with our boy in cozy sweaters and soft footed-pajamas.

Looking out our window it's apparent that a change it is a comin'.  It's as if God is screaming it loud and clear to us as we have many changes in our life ahead, and not just the reality of bare trees out our door.

To start off Benjamin is looking into some higher education.  It'll happen, Lord willing, and when it does his nights and weekends will be consumed with books and papers and lectures and tests.

Another change is that with his schedule becoming more full mine is as well.  I'm thankful for the continued encouragement on this blog, for some recipe development opportunities, and to now be an Independent Consultant with Thirty-One Gifts.  When I'm not playing with our son or behind the screen writing during naps, I'll hopefully get into some friends homes and share with them about this company.  We'll see how it goes.

Right now, it's all about little leaps of faith around here.  Stepping out and seeing what happens.  Putting yourself out there believing good things are in store.  Trusting your gut and having confidence in yourself and in the One who has gone before.

Does this season elicit the same feelings for you?  A change... it is a comin'.

  1. My hubby is also looking into higher education and while the possibility is very exciting to him and to me, I am overwhelmed at what my new responsibilities will be like without him having any free time. I'll remember y'all in my prayers as I'm praying for our possible transition too!
